I've been using Publishers Assistant since 2003, and its power continues to amaze me. Ron just showed me how to process Amazon sales in an efficient, slick way by grouping all Amazon sales under one payable account, and then, when sales reports come in, to enter receipts by going down the list of books Amazon has in inventory, keying in the number of books sold, matching amount received, and voila... processing Amazon sales is a breeze! I used to dread having to go in and sort through each Amazon sale. Now it's even "fun"!

Ron Lawrence

Ron gained a great deal of experience in distributed applications while working for Digital Equipment Corporation. PubAssist Web Services is the next step in offering a family of products that work autonomously and yet are linked to each other.

Ron Lawrence has been working as an independent developer on Publishers' Assistant since 1990. Working closely with Steve Carlson of Upper Access Publishing, Ron produced what was then known as PiiGS Version 2.

Prior to developing Publisher's Assistant, Ron worked as a software engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation--specializing in manufacturing systems. This experience contributed greatly to the technologies and techniques used in the development of Publishers' Assistant.

In addition to developing software, Ron has built his own house in the hills of Essex, Vermont. He started and sold Jericho Traditions in Wood, a woodworking business specializing in traditional architectural products. Ron has also enjoyed making music with the Jericho Road Crew since 1988.
